Dumpster Pools

Its spring in Brisbane, but basically here that means summer...The notion of not knowing at least someone with a pool to access over summer is quite foreign to us. But we recenly read about a project that made us very very happy. The Brooklyn based design company Macrosea dipped their toes into a guerilla/pop up pool project. With limited access to public pools, they re-thought the dumpster and created a series of temporary pools.  It took them 12 days to put the materials together. A dumpster, a liner, some seals along the seams, sand for a soft bottom, a huge tarp, water and bingo a pool!!
