Hoss Intropia @ Samantha Olgivie
One of my favourite places to visit on route to work on the Kings Road in London, was Hoss Intropia. The cult Spanish label Hoss Intropia was founded in 1994 by, ex-designer to the National Ballet of Spain, Paloma Vázquez de Castro. In the interest of keeping their designs unique and exclusive, Hoss Intropia produce and design all of their own prints, and details are hand-beaded and embroidered. Inspired by Spanish painter Diego Velàzquez, folk art and theater costume, de Castro's collections are eclectic and youthful. The designs always stood out in the sea of black in London, as colour was a huge part of their design, as was texture and beading. Its actually more suited to the Australian climate.
I was delighted to see that Samantha Olgivie at the Emporium is now stocking this label. You can check out the Winter 09 Collection on the Net-a-porter website - www.net-a-porter.com/Shop/Designers/Hoss_Intropia or pop into Samantha Olivigie - http://www.samanthaogilvie.com/
