The Crosstown Eating House
Crosstown, as it’s affectionately known by Brisbane locals is a new eatery in Logan Road Woolloongabba. An area of Brisbane that all Southside locals have been watching anxiously in the hope that this area would blossom into something creative, stylish, design savvy and vibrant.
Cross town delivers on the design front, and also the culinary delight side. It provides easy, fuss free unpretentious local bites to share. The food is pared back, with stunning simple flavours that remind everyone of familiar home cooked meals, but a more exciting version.
The fit out is great, using the existing building and playing to its strengths has worked to create an easy environment to sit, chat and share. Artwork by locals artists cover the walls, rustic enamel lights grace the ceilings and the tables and chairs are designed and made by one of the owners Matt Christenson.
Favourites to share:
- Steak and horseradish
- Prawns with white anchovy mayonnaise
- Lamb shoulder and pasta
- Chocolate pear pot
- Burrata mushrooms
