The School Food Trust

We have been really enjoying Jamie Olivers passion for improving what kids eat, we think it is a fabulous way to build on his celebrity and to really make a difference. Today we came across The School Food Trust, led by Michelin-starred chef, writer and entrepreneur, Prue Leith.  The Trust aims to improve the quality of school food and to promote the health of children and young people.

The trust are doing some fantastic work looking at the environment the kids eat in and have launched a pilot project, The Applemore College Canteen. The ACC has transformed a lifeless dining hall into a cool hangout space for students. We love the graphical colour and pattern applied to the utilitarian space.

We wholeheartedly support this concept, and believe surroundings are integral to enhancing how we feel and live each day. With Jamie Oliver and Prue Leith taking the lead the UK are breaking ground, come on Australia let's get on board!
