Asia Pacific Design Library

The Asia Pacific Design Library opened at the State Library last week. It is fast becoming the centre for engaging with design thinking in Brisbane.

Areas of focus include:
  • Design of libraries
  • Green building and alternative/sustainable building materials (an overarching theme)
  • Emergent cities/civic spaces/urban food production
  • Digital and interaction design
  • Book design
  • Public art
  • Fashion
  • Universal design (design that promotes equal opportunity for use by individuals with or without disability)
  • Queensland architects

The Asia Pacific Design Lounge is located on Level 2 of the State Library of Queensland at the Cultural Centre, Stanley Place, South Bank, Brisbane and is opened during normal Library hours.
