YUTA BADAYALA (In a New Light)

A stunning exhibition of lighting products opens at Object Gallery in Sydney tomorrow. The lights were developed in collaboration between Sydney based furniture designers Koskela and Indigenous weavers from Elcho Island Arts, including Mavis Warrngilna Ganambarr, Roslyn Malngumba, Margaret Bambalara and Julienne Gitjpulu.  The long term project aims to provide Indigenous weavers with an additional income from their work and to introduce new and compelling products into contemporary interiors.
