Douglas Wilson

Douglas Wilson is a trained graphic designer, and dabbles in all things typographical. I purchased this work ‘Make Your Own Path’ from the Keep Calm Gallery as a present to self last year. It’s to become my mantra for 2010… It’s a letterpress print on a vintage map and I think the image says it all.

His website includes a list of ‘wishes’ which I think sum the guy up quite well

I wish that graphic design was easier to explain to my mother.
I wish that more Americans travelled internationally.
I wish that I spoke more languages.
I wish I had more bookshelves.
I wish that I had a garden this year.
I wish to own a Volvo Station Wagon again someday.
I wish that politics were less political.
I wish that more parks were created in more cities.
I wish there were more hours in the day.
I wish more people cared about more than themselves.
I wish I was better at playing the banjo.
I wish to visit Antarctica some day.

His work is available to purchase from the Keep Calm and Carry on website keepcalmgallery.com or you can contact Douglas direct.
