Paradise by Way of Kensal Green

Paradise by Way of Kensal Green is a wonderful bar/ pub in Notting Hill, West London. Its been there for ever, as all good London pubs have been, but it was recently done up and now plays the roll of the fabulous after venue, great live music pub and host to the beautiful people.

The pub was one of the first I saw that really played with the notions of old and new together in a fantastically modern way. The whole Rocco, opulent revival is very evident here, without being too ostentatious.

Brisbane pubs should be doing a copy cat on this kind of notion, keep it simple, elegant, sophisticated and totally understated, but still design savvy.
