Kelly Wearstler

I was trying to find something on Google yesterday and came across this woman, American interior designer Kelly Wearstler. Then last night, I got home to find the new edition of Vogue Living in my letterbox only to find her home was featured in the November/December edition. A very strange coincidence!

Kelly's style is a mash up of vintage, classic, opulence and glamour. She designs things like Hollywood plastic surgery clinics, high roller casino rooms and high end hotels in LA, so not necessarily our style, but I do like the way she achieves a high end fit out, without any apologies made to the over the top nature of her design decisions. I particularly like her commercial fit outs, I think they work in the austere manner that she designs in, in contrast to the home interiors, I fear I would break something living like that.
