House of Lego

The memories flooded back today when I came across this amazing house.  Lego has been a big part of most peoples childhoods, we regularly got taken by our grandparents en masse with the cousins to see the travelling legoland shows. Life size creations kept us enthralled for hours and we came home with huge aspirations to build as big and grand as we could, our dreams limited only by our lego collection.  Architect James May gets what every child dreamed of, a commission to build a full lifesize house out of lego. The house is being constructed out of 3 million lego bricks each made from 272 pieces of individual lego - 816 million lego pieces in total! The house  is located within the Denbies Winery and the construction is being filmed for an upcoming BBC Show.
