Maxine Sutton

I saw Maxine Sutton's exhibition at Central Craft in Clerkenwell in London last year and was blown away. She is an artist/ maker whose use of colour, texture and textiles haunt my creative dreams. Layers of fabrics, prints, sewing, screen printing and colour create stunning images of familiar yet obscure shapes, almost like a textile collage. Maxine tries her very best to use sustainable products where possible, so the layers of bold colours interplay perfectly with the natural yarns, hemp's, Irish linens and silks.
