Alejandro Sticotti’s Buenos Aires abode
I was reading the current issue of Dwell magazine at Suzie’s last night and was taken by the home of Argentinean furniture designer, Alejandro Sticotti’s. Suzie and I travelled to Argentina and Brazil last year for six weeks and loved the East Coast of South America.
The thing that struck a cord with Argentina was that it felt ‘familiar’. Their architecture and landscapes felt very Australian and their homes have a very inside outside feel, mainly climate related, but also lifestyle. This house could belong easily anywhere in Australia.
Their collection of terracotta plants outside their bedroom was enviable. I loved the way the plants had been collected from cut offs from friends and family, walks and travels to create their own secret garden of succulents and cacti.
